The headline from the Daily Hampshire Gazette: BRING ON THE CURSE!!!Normally I would pick the Cardinals over the Red Sox (especially because of the Jim Edmonds factor), but if there is ever a year to confront ghosts ... and not appease them ... this should be the year.

Edmonds, and all the Cards I saw interviewed last night, were a real class act. It's going to be a great series.
It was also interesting to see the difference between the interview with the Astros coach after they lost and Joe Torre's.

All the way back to the days of Whitey Herzog, Ozzie Smith and Willie McGee I always associated the Cardinals with professionalism and honor. No waiting for the three run homer, just great fundamentals.
