Archeology in the making: this bike has been locked up in front of the Mount Holyoke Library for more than three years.

There was a vw rabbit parked on our street in Boston for at least three years. The city wouldn't do anything about it, because technically it was legally parked, though abandoned.

And the bike is still in one piece? You must live in an awfully law-abiding place!
The Pioneer Valley is white, affluent, liberal, scholarly, with a large GLBT population. And crime is pretty low.
